Fitting an Electronic Speedo Converter to a Mitsubishi Delica

Here are the installation instructions for fitting an electronic speedo converter. If you are the slightest bit nervous we would suggest you find a professional installer.

Our KPH to MPH Speedo Converter, changes all Kilometers readings to miles. All Products supplied are SVA Approved and are Guaranteed for 2 Years.

It works by intercepting the pulses that indicate how many revelutions the wheel has turn and changing dividing the pulse rate down so that only the pulses indicating the number of miles comes in.

You simply have to locate the speed signal wire and insert our electronic device so that it can convert the signal. Our device also needs a 12V and a ground wire.

Instructions

Remove the instrument panel.

Remove the clear plastic window from the front of the instrument panel and apply the appropriate MPH sticker over the KMH mark then replace the window.

Take the Converter and crimp 3 M3 eyelet terminals onto the ends of the RED, BLACK and GREY wires then crimp a male bullet terminal onto the end of the YELLOW wire.

Screw the RED wire to the top right speedometer mounting screw on the rear of the instrument panel marked IG.

Screw the BLACK wire to the lower right speedometer mounting screw on the rear of the instrument panel marked E.

Screw the GREY wire to the lower left speedometer mounting screw on the rear of the instrument panel marked SP.

Follow the track from the lower left speedometer mounting screw to the loom connector then cut the wire connected to this about 3cm away from the connector and crimp a female bullet terminal onto the loom end. Now plug the YELLOW wire terminal into the loom wire terminal.

Using a cable-tie strap the Converter to the loom then refit the instrument panel and test.
